Cinderella is a fruity alcohol-free highball: orange, pineapple, and lemon create a bright citrus-tropical base, grenadine adds color and sweetness, and a few dashes of bitters make the drink drier and more complex. Difford’s Guide lists it as alcohol-free, but the recipe uses aromatic bitters in a very small amount. It is therefore best understood as a practically alcohol-free bar drink rather than a serve for situations requiring absolute zero alcohol. Cinderella’s main appeal is its clear fruit-forward style without a spirit base: a long refreshing drink balanced by juice, light bitterness, and soda water.
