Description:

The Hurricane is a vivid New Orleans cocktail most often associated with Pat O'Brien's bar. It became famous in the tall curved glass that resembles a hurricane lamp, which gave the drink its name. In character, it is a fruity rum cocktail: rich, tropical, sweet-tart, and stronger than it may seem at first sip. In a good Hurricane, the rum remains the foundation, while the juices and syrups should not turn the drink into a simple fruit punch.
