An Old Fashioned glass, also called a rocks glass, is a low, wide glass with a heavy base. It is used for spirits over ice, short cocktails, and drinks built directly in the glass. A typical size is 180-300 ml, while a double Old Fashioned may hold 350-470 ml. The wide base is useful for muddling, and the thick glass works well with large ice and slow sipping.
