Julep Strainer

Description:

A julep strainer is a large perforated spoon-shaped strainer. It is most often used with a mixing glass to hold back ice while pouring a stirred cocktail into a serving glass. Unlike a Hawthorne strainer, it has no spring, so it works well for clear drinks without pulp or herbs. It is well suited to Martinis, Manhattans, Negronis, and other cocktails prepared by stirring with ice.
