A coupe, or champagne saucer, is a wide shallow stemmed glass of about 160-200 ml. Historically it was used for champagne, but today it is often chosen for cocktails served without ice: sours, Daiquiris, foamy drinks, and elegant presentations. Sparkling wine loses bubbles faster in a wide bowl, but cocktails in a coupe look expressive and are easy to sip in small portions.
