A waiter's corkscrew is a folding sommelier tool with a foil knife, spiral, and lever. It is used for wine and bottles closed with natural or synthetic cork. In a bar, it is more convenient than a household corkscrew because it takes little space, opens bottles quickly, and gives good control over the cork. For a clean opening, cut the capsule neatly first, then insert the spiral into the center of the cork.
