Ice Mallet

Description:

An ice mallet is used with a Lewis bag or board to prepare crushed ice. It helps control the size of the pieces: lighter strikes make coarse crushed ice, while stronger work makes finer ice. Work on a stable surface and never crush ice in glassware. For a home bar, a wooden mallet or dedicated bar mallet works well.
